Sunny Days

Here I'm at the City Hall in Korea, with my aunt. She's the one who works at the studio I told you guys in an earlier post! I found these in my pictures folder, and thought I'dSho upload them, they're from this summer. How I miss those days...when I wasn't all bloated from my Thanksgiving dinner! Bring on the pounds, I don't regret eating all that delicious food. How was everyone's weekend?! I was out and about Friday to get some shopping done at the mall. Black Friday is the day where I don't need a reason to go shopping and my mum nods at me when I hold my card out, no words needed. I ended up getting some good stuff from Urban Outfitters, H&M, and BCBG. I never get outrageously pricey stuff with my own money...never. That's reserved for mall visits with the mum. (:

Rebecca Minkoff 6

Rebecca Minkoff 6
Rebecca Minkoff 6 by stylechickie featuring a chain necklace

This one was inspired by chains and strings, producing a complexive look with a rough look, but at the same time giving off a pretty chic look. forget about ruffles and lace, in this world, a girl needs to show a bit of fierce!

This one is inspired by Breakfast at Tiffany's but modernized. It's all about sleekness and chic using all black, and gold touches. It is also big on convenience for it has 4 pockets in the back. The side accessories such as the tab, tassel, and leather strip plays a big part, as it keeps the bag from looking too square and dull.

This one was first inspired by a bird, and the flaps and fringes are suposed to be like its wings, and then it came together as a good bag for a trip. It seems like a comfortable bag to carry around with you on a trip with convenient pockets. it has a retro, modern theme to it. the lining would be the one with birds, as it all goes along with the theme of flying. the girl who would wear it would feel confident, knowing that the bag shes carrying says it all.

This one was inspired by "Bally" stripes. It's a piece of modern vintage. The tassels give it an old-fashioned look but together with the stripes create luxury and the circle studs go along great. the lining would be the black dots with the blue background because it matches the blue stripes, after all color-matching is important. it would be the bag for the girl who likes grandeur and vibrant colors.

Rebecca Minkoff MAC Contest !!

Rebecca Minkoff is holding a contest on polyvore, calling for designs for the next MAC (Morning After Clutch) collection. It's super exciting, and the best part is, if you win, your bag gets to be shown on the runway in February! I've gotta say, competition is pretty rough, but if you let your inner creativity take over, all will be good. WISH ME LUCK ! And put an entry in yourself too ! I'll be putting mine up soon on this blog so tell me how they are (:

stylechickie for Rebecca Minkoff MAC

stylechickie for Rebecca Minkoff MAC
stylechickie for Rebecca Minkoff MAC by stylechickie featuring leather tops

This one's influenced by a safari resort theme. It's geometrical features give an edge, while the fringes give a tribal look. It would be worn by the girl who's into that military look, or the safari look that's been proposed by many SS 2011 collections. Hope you like !

"It's not the clothes that makes a statement, it's all about the bag and the shoes." This was a quote that my friend's grandmother used to say, and it's stuck with me in many ways. A simple top and jeans, with a stunning pair of boots or heels and a striking bag, makes for a much stylish, composed look passable as either casual or fancy, than a completely outrageous outfit, with no bag and the sorry heels you sledged through the mud with the other day.

So why am I stating this lovely quote?

Mostly because the post itself is on bags, but also cause it's proved itself true for me. When I first started collecting for a wardrobe on vintage-looks, I used up on high waist shorts, skirts, blouses, tights, oxfords, you name it. But I realized that they didn't fully satisfy. What did I need to add to complete the getups I often imagined of? Oxford wedges, check. Sheer tights, check. A bag... NOPE. Which is why the next day I spent a good deal of time shopping in and out for the perfect bag, finally deciding on a couple. Proud of myself, I showed my mother my new babies, but she wasn't quite the happy duck when she saw the receipts... but my moral here is not to be wise with your money, but to make sure you are not lacking that final touch from a bag! :)

FASHION BLOGGING !

Picked this up while scrummaging through Refinery29. I'm not quite sure if it'll actually work, but it's pretty smart! If only things could be as easy as they are said.... (: Will do my best though !

Elle December 2010 Covergirl

The Elle covergirl for December 2010 is Jessica Alba, and here's a sneak peek photo (courtesy of www.ellegirl.com). She is gorgeous! I can't get over how elegantly feminine she looks. Her top at least is from the Dior Resort 2011 collection, which I absolutely fell in love with, check the collection out. What do you guys think? Hot or not?

Forever 21 Runway in London

Forever 21 held a runway show for its European Launch on Great Portland Street in London. Some of the outfits are really cute; it's street wear with a retro, rockchic side to it. It's definitely something to look at, and I'm hoping they'll have something like it in the US soon. Which one do you like the best?

BOOTY TIME!

It's so cold these days!! Can't think properly in school...perhaps it explains the sad B I got in physics today? When it gets a bit chilly like this, my favorite type of shoe to wear (besides UGGs, I have a fetish for them..) are ankle boots! They're super comfortable, styling, and WARM especially when you wear them with leggings, and a nice top or dress. Usually I don't go for sky-high shoes, but for booties, I have to say the high ones are the best. Here are some of my favorites out  this season; which one fits your style best?
